For fourteenth consecutive year the National Archaeological Institute with Museum, together with 16 museums from the country, organizes the temporary exhibition “Bulgarian Archaeology”. The exhibition presents the most interesting and impressive discoveries and investigations from the last active archaeological season. Among the artefacts on display are gold, silver and bronze adornments, fine ceramic anthropomorphic figurines, pottery vessels, a hoard of silver coins, bronze figures, and many others. A total of 27 sites are included, illustrating the development of cultures in present day Bulgaria from the Neolithic (6th millennium BC) until the Middle ages.
The exhibition “Bulgarian Archaeology 2020” will be on display in the Central Hall of NAIM from 12 February until 2 May 2021.
