The National Archaeological Institute with Museum at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, in partnership with the National Academy of Art and the Union of Bulgarian Artists (UBA) have the chance to invite you to the temporary exhibition “The Vessel as Receptacle – In Defense of Time”: a peculiar dialogue between contemporary art and Archaeology under the curatorship of prof. Stanislav Pamukchiev, prof. Peter Tsanev, and Dr. Ivan Kanchev.

Within the period July 19th – December 17th, 2023 the visitors of the National Archaeological Мuseum would have the opportunity to see the works of Valentin Gospodinov, Emil Bachiyski, Emil Popov, Zahari Kamenov, Ziyatin Nuriev, Ivaylo Avramov, Ivan Kanchev, Ivan Rusev, Kiril Kuzmanov, Krasimir Rousev, Mitko Dimitrov, Olivia Mihaltianou, Pavel Koychev, Peter Tzanev, Robert Tsanev, Svilen Blajev, Stanislav Bojankov, Stanislav Pamukchiev, Stoyan Dechev, Tsvetoslav Hristov. The exhibition envisages the honorary participation of Prof. Venko Kolev, and the media partnership of the Bulgarian National Radio, Program Hristo Botev, the Bulgarian National Television, the Site for culture and art “Vapreki.com”.

The official opening of the exhibition “The Vessel as Receptacle– In Defense of Time” will be on July 18th, from 6 pm, at the building of the National Archaeological Museum (Sofia, Atanas Burov Square № 1).
