Catalogue of The Every Day Life of the Roman Legionary on the Lower Danube Exhibition
The second edition of the Catalogue of The Every Day Life of the Roman Legionary on the Lower Danube Exhibition has been released. The exhibition is organised by the National Institute of Archaeology with Museum of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences in cooperation with the National Museum of History, Svishtov Museum of History and Ruse and Razgrad Regional Museums of History. It is composed of artifacts illustrating various aspects of the life of the Roman soldiers serving in the troops along the Lower Danube Limes. The exposition accompanied the 22nd International Limes Congress held in September 2012 in Ruse.
In the course of fourth months, from July till October 2013, the Permanent Expositions Room of NIAM-BAS houses weaponry of Roman soldiers, many objects of their everyday life, as well as pieces demonstrating the religious practices in the Roman military camps. All the artifacts on display are included in the catalogue.
