Public lecture by Dr. Kathleen McSweeney, School of History, Classics, and Archaeology, University of Edinburgh, UK
The National Archaeological Institute with Museum is pleased to invite you to attend the first lecture in the cycle of public lectures included in the program to commemorate the 145th anniversary of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (1869-2014).
The public lecture by Dr. Kathleen McSweeney, School of History, Classics and Archaeology, University of Edinburgh, UK, is entitled "LIFE AND DEATH IN PREHISTORIC ARABIA" and will be held on January 27, 2014, at 16:00 h in the Board Hall of NAIM-BAS, 1 Atanas Burov Square (entrance from the site of Presidency).
Dr. McSweeney defended master's degree in Archaeology in 1982 at University of Edinburgh and in 2003 earned a PhD degree in Archaeology. Soon after that she was appointed Research Associate and lecturer in archaeoosteology at the School of History, Classics and Archaeology. She is Director of three master‘s programs. Dr. McSweeney is an honorary member of NAIM-BAS. Dr. McSweeney is involved in various projects of scholars working at the Institute.
