A long-term agreement between NAIM-BAS and the Institute for Oriental and European Archaeology at the Austrian Academy of Sciences (OREA) was signed

A seven-year long-term agreement between the National Archaeological Institute with Museum at BAS, represented by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Maria Reho, Deputy Director, and the Institute for Oriental and European Archaeology at the Austrian Academy of Sciences (OREA), represented by Dr. Barbara Horejs, Director, was concluded on October 31, 2014 in the Central Hall of the National Archaeological Museum.
           
This is a contract for international collaboration in which both sides have agreed to join efforts and work together on common projects in the field of Bronze Age and Early Iron Age archaeology in the regions of Mediterranean, Aegean and Eastern Europe. The future development activities will be based on the results of field studies of Ada Tepe in the last few years.

Dr. Horejs and her team on the Austrian side and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hristo Popov and his team on the Bulgarian side will be responsible for the project implementation.
