International colloquium and round table on “Modern methods for the protection of newly uncovered archaeological structures. Emergency conservation, protective covering, historical climate and reburial of archaeological monuments”

The National Institute for Immovable Cultural Heritage, the Italian Cultural Institute in Bulgaria, the Regional Museum of History – Haskovo and the National Archaeological Institute with Museum at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (NAIM at BAS) are pleased to invite you to the International colloquium and round table on “Modern methods for the protection of newly uncovered archaeological structures. Emergency conservation, protective covering, historical climate and reburial of archaeological monuments”.

The events will be held from November 10 to November 12, 2015 in the Board Hall of NAIM-BAS, Sofia, 1 Atanas Burov Square (opposite the Bulgarian presidency building). They are funded under the UNESCO Participation Program within the initiatives dedicated to the 70th anniversary of UNESCO.

Colloquium lecturers: Dr. Stefano De Caro, Director of ICCROM, Italy; Dr. Maria Concetta Laurenti and Dr. Giovanna De Palma, Istituto Superiore per la Conservazione ed il Restauro (ISCR), Italy; Dr. Roberto Nardi, Director of Centro di Conservazione Archeologica, Italy; Dr. Barbara Davidde, Director of the Nucleus for Underwater Archaeology, Italy; Prof. Dario Camuffo, Emeritus Research Director, National Research Council, Institute of Atmospheric Sciences and Climate, Italy; Dr. Stefania Chlouveraki, Technological Educational Institute of Athens, Greece; Dr. Thomas Warscheid, Laboratory ‘LBW-Bioconsult’, Germany.
