01.06.2016
On 21 May, 2016 (Saturday), the National Archaeological Museum marked the 12th edition of the European Night of Museums. The initiative was held throughout entire Europe.

50 museums and galleries in Sofia were open for free for visitors and 48 out of them could be seen until midnight. Traditionally, the National Archaeological Museum joined the initiative and was part of this festival, opening doors to all visitors. The event aroused great interest and proved successful again this year.

The guests had the opportunity to see the permanent exposition and the renewed exhibition in the Prehistory Hall of the National Archaeological Museum. The temporary exhibition “The mirror of time: female beauty through the ages” running until 25 September, 2016 also generated great interest among the visitors of the Museum.
