21.12.2018

In the beginning of December 2018, National Archaeological Institute with Museum at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences became a partner in the project ‘From ancient to modern times – materials, technology and preservation of cultural heritage’, co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of EU (project No. 2018-1-CZ01-KA202-048054). This project is prepared and managed by the High School of Applied Arts and Glass in Valašské Meziříčí (SUPŠS VM), Czech Republic. Strategic partners in the project, besides NAIM-BAS, are Museum of Visual Arts (MAV) in Galaţ, Romania and State Cultural Institute ‘Cultural Centre ‘The Palace’ in Balchik, Bulgaria. The aims of the joint two-year project include broadening the knowledge of SUPŠS VM students about the materials and technologies used in ancient times, as well as in the modern art; familiarization with museum practices and problems of cultural heritage preservation, etc.

The kick-off meeting of the project partners was held from the 8th to the 10th of December 2018 in Valašské Meziříčí. In June 2019, NAIM-BAS will meet the students of SUPŠS VM as a host and organizer of a series of educational and promoting activities within the framework of the project.
