Temporary exhibition “Bulgarian Archaeology 2018”

For twelfth consecutive year the National Archaeological Institute with Museum, together with 19 museums from the country, organizes the temporary exhibition “Bulgarian Archaeology”. The exhibition presents the most interesting and impressive discoveries and investigations from the last active archaeological season. Among the artefacts on display are fine glass vessels, marble statues, ceramic anthropomorphic figurines, pottery vessels, gold, silver and bronze adornments, bronze figures, and many others. A total of 23 sites are included, illustrating the development of cultures in present day Bulgaria from the Palaeolithic (more than 40 000 years before present) until the Middle ages.

The exhibition “Bulgarian Archaeology 2018” will be on display in the Temporary Exhibitions Hall of NAIM from 15 February until 14 April 2019.
