European Researcher’s Night, September 25th –26th, 2026

The Νational Archaeological Institute with Museum at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences participated in the international initiative „European Researcher’s Night“(2026) by presenting to the broad public and the younger audience the newest digital works (AI Archaeotopia – Archaeology of Topographic Maps Using Artificial Intelligence) and projects for the socialisation of cultural-historical heritage: catalogues, permanent and temporary exhibitions, programs for kids and students. You can find information about all of them on our official website. The initiative is part of the K-TRIO project, which aims to bring science, researchers, and innovations closer to the general public. The project will run from April 15th 2026 to April 14th 2028, and unites Bulgarian universities, scientific institutes, and cultural and citizens' organisations. The main aim of K-TRIO is to demonstrate the role of researchers in society, the economy, and everyday life and to foster the interest of young people towards science, research work and STEM careers – science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics. /photos: S.
