Spartacus, II has been published

The second Spartacus symposium, which has taken place in Sandanski, in 2002, was the occasion to publish volume 2 of articles about the results of archaeological research in a vast territory. Some of the papers are primary publications of newly found or unknown until now architectural, epigraphic or archaeological monuments dating back to the classical period, while other present generalizations or conclusions on controversial academic questions. Many of the papers go beyond the territorial boundaries of the Middle Struma Valley. This fact favors the more comprehensive and more profound publication of the research results on the ancient cultural relations in the entire Balkans. This volume is an edition of the Institute of Archaeology and Museum; it includes 39 papers (335 pages, black-and-white illustrations).
