Great interest towards the 2006 Books and Periodicals Presentation of the National Institute of Archaeology and Museum

On February 1, 2007, an official presentation of the 2006 Books and Periodicals written or edited by NAIM archaeologists was held in the Central Hall of the National Museum of Archaeology. The event was attended by a greater part of the archaeologists from NAIM and its branches, guests from other institutes at BAS, colleagues from the Sofia University and journalists.

The total number of books presented was 23. Each of these publications was briefly introduced to the audience by a colleague of the author. Special attention was paid to the scientific merits of the publications, profound research, informative illustrations and contribution to the knowledge on the prehistoric, Thracian, Classic, Roman, Byzantine and Medieval archaeology as well as to the numismatics and epigraphy.

The great number of NAIM 2006 academic publications is another proof for its considerable scientific potential.
